They represented every branch of service and each campaign since the Vietnam War, however they came together for one purpose: to build and leverage their community of women veterans. And they left with a extra powerful community and loads of suggestions for planning an effective job search. Only 10% of veterans are ladies, but we are much less likely to determine as veterans and more more likely to be unemployed. And yet, we are also less more likely to seek help from veterans companies. And we often overlook the most highly effective useful resource we have: one another. During the networking session, girls veterans shared their stories and their goals. “I wish to start a profession in film enhancing.” Hands went up with provides to hook up with pals within the business. “I’m thinking about IT.”Business cards have been passed to connect with employers in search of girls in the IT trade. “I need assistance with constant baby care.” Again, concepts and connections. Over pizza and pop, girls shared concepts, made connections, practiced their elevator speech, and made a few new associates.
